Apa itu procedure text?

Teks prosedur adalah jenis teks yang berisi instruksi tentang cara menyelesaikan, membuat, atau melakukan sesuatu. Tujuan dari sebuah teks prosedur adalah untuk memberikan instruksi yang berurutan sehingga orang dapat berhasil melakukan sesuatu sesuai dengan instruksi.

 

Secara umum ada 3 macam teks prosedur bahasa Inggris, yaitu:

a. Teks prosedur yang berisi instruksi untuk mengoperasikan suatu barang atau cara menggunakan suatu barang

b. Teks prosedur yang berisi instruksi untuk melakukan suatu kegiatan

c. Teks prosedur yang berisi instruksi untuk membuat sesuatu

 

 

Ciri-Ciri Teks Prosedur

Membuat teks prosedur bahasa Inggris tak boleh sembarangan lho. Ada aturan-aturan saat membuat teks prosedur bahasa Inggris yang harus kamu ikuti agar nantinya teks prosedur yang akan kamu buat dapat dipahami dengan mudah, dan instruksinya pun jelas untuk diikuti. 

 

Berikut adalah beberapa ciri-ciri dari sebuah teks prosedur bahasa Inggris:

1. Memakai konstruksi kalimat simple present tense

2. Terdiri dari kalimat imperative (kalimat perintah)

3. Menggunakan adverb of manner

4. Menggunakan adverbial of sequence, sequence adverbs, atau sequence markers

Adverbial of sequence yaitu kata keterangan yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan urutan dari sebuah tindakan. Tujuan dari penggunaan adverbial of sequence yaitu untuk membantu kita memahami hubungan antar kalimat.

  • First = Pertama
  • Second = Kedua
  • Third = Ketiga
  • Fourth = Keempat
  • Next = Selanjutnya
  • Then = Kemudian
  • After that = Setelah itu
  • Afterwards = Setelah itu
  • Finally = Akhirnya
  • Lastly = Akhirnya

 

Struktur Teks Prosedur

Dalam sebuah teks prosedur, terdapat 3 komponen penting yang harus ada dalam sebuah teks prosedur. Apa saja komponen itu? Berikut penjelasannya.

 

1. Goal: berisi tujuan dari melakukan langkah-langkah yang ada dalam teks atau hasil akhir yang akan dicapai setelah berhasil melakukan prosedur sesuai dengan teks

2. Materials: berisikan bahan atau alat yang dibutuhkan untuk bisa melakukan instruksi yang ada dalam teks

3. Steps: berisi langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan agar tujuan pada awal teks berhasil dilakukan

 

 

Contoh Teks Prosedur Singkat dan Artinya

 

1. Contoh teks prosedur membuat kopi dalgona

Goal: How to make dalgona coffee.

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 tablespoon of instant coffee
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of hot water
  • 200 ml of milk
  • Ice cubes

 

Steps: 

1. Combine the instant coffee, sugar and hot water in a bowl. 

2. And then, mix them until the coffee and the sugar dissolves. 

3. After it dissolves, whisk the coffee mixture using a fork for about 2 minutes or more.

4. Whisk it until the mixture's consistency turns into whip cream.

5. Then, prepare a glass.

6. Put as many ice cubes as you like in the glass.

7. Pour the milk. And then, pour your coffee mixture over the milk.

8. Stir well and your dalgona coffee is ready to be served.

 

 

2. Contoh teks prosedur cara membuat nasi goreng

Goal: How to make fried rice.

 

Ingredients 

  • 2 Plates of cooked rice
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 Grams of shredded cooked Chicken
  • 5 Cloves of shallots
  • 4 Cloves of garlic
  • 2 Large red chilies
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of shrimp paste
  • 4 Tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
  • Salt 
  • Pepper
  • 4 sliced cucumber for garnish
  • 2 sliced tomato for garnish

 

Steps: 

1. Grind shallots, garlic, chili pepper, shrimp paste and salt until smooth and evenly mixed.

2. Heat oil in a wok over medium heat.

3. Add the grinded spice and stir fry for about 3 minutes until it is fragrant.

4. Add eggs and stir until it becomes scrambled egg.

5. Add shredded chicken, chili pepper and rice to the scramble egg. 

6. Stir until evenly mixed.

7. Lastly add black pepper, salt, and sweet soy sauce and stir until evenly mixed.

8. After it is evenly mixed, serve the fried rice on a plate with tomato and cucumber as a garnish.

9. Finally, your fried rice is ready to be served!

 

 

3. Contoh teks prosedur cara mencuci sepatu dengan tangan

Goal: How to wash shoes by hand.

 

Equipments/Tools:

Old toothbrush

Paper towels

Old cloth

 

Material:

Dishwashing soap or detergent

 

Steps:

1. Wipe off the shoe with a dry paper towel to remove dirt on its surface.

2. In a small bowl, mix 3 teaspoons of dishwashing soap or detergent into one cup of water. Stir well until combined.

3. After that, dip the toothbrush in the soapy water and lightly scrub the fabric.

4. Do it to all surfaces on the shoes. 

5. After that, rinse the shoes using the old cloth. 

6. Dip the cloth in clean water and squeeze the excess water.

7. Then, lightly remove the excess soap on the shoes using the cloth.

8. Do that several times until it is clean from the soap.

9. Finally, put the shoes under the sunlight until the shoes are completely dry.
